Recognize Your Facility’s Skin Champions

Has your team created a successful skin damage prevention program? Now’s your opportunity to share best practices and be recognized as an industry leader for skin protection.

Since 2012, the WOCN® Society and 3M have partnered together to celebrate skin teams around the country who have transformed outcomes for the people in their care.

The 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety recognizes an individual or team for creating and sustaining a successful skin damage prevention program that demonstrates positive clinical outcomes, teamwork and knowledge transfer.

Previously selected programs have included efforts that eliminated hospital-acquired stage 3 and stage 4 pressure injuries to care centers that have made skin a facility-wide focus, ultimately increasing patient satisfaction.

Nominations are now being accepted for the ninth annual award. The winning program will receive a complimentary trip to the WOCNext Conference, to be held from June 7-10, 2020, in Cleveland.

Review the tips below and submit your materials by March 4, 2020.
